Job Description:
Summary:
Instructor in Biology will teach a full course load of lower level biology courses and mentor and advise undergraduate biology majors.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Teach Principles / General biology lecture and lab, as well as lower level biology courses for majors and non-majors.
Mentor and advice undergraduate students.
Support undergraduate research opportunities.
Participate in course, curriculum, and program development.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
?Minimum Position Requirements (including certifications, license, etc.
):
Master's degree in Biology or a related discipline.
Must have the ability/credentialing to teach general biology and introductory biology courses at undergraduate level.
Must have the ability to teach day, evening and/or Saturday classes.
Experience managing and maintaining computer systems.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Teaching experience at the college level.
Expertise in Biology teaching.
Experience in mentoring students Knowable of academic advisement process.
Interest in active and collaborative learning.
Ability in the instructional use of technology.
Skills in hybrid and online teaching experience is an advantage.

The salary for each position is based on the grade/tier in which the position is placed, and the salary within the grade/tier is based on the number of years of related experience or number of years in the hiring rank.
