Job Description:
The Department of Family and Consumer Sciences offers programs in Apparel, Merchandising and Design; Family and Consumer Sciences Education; Human Development and Family Studies; and Nutrition and Hospitality Management.
The Department is accredited by the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in apparel and textiles, and fashion merchandising.
Engage in research and scholarly writing.
Assist with curriculum development.
Advise undergraduate students.
Serve on various University College and departmental committees.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Position Requirements (including years of experience, certifications, licenses, etc.
):
A doctoral degree in apparel and merchandising or closely related area.
Preference will be given to candidate with a background in apparel and textiles/merchandising; experience in teaching and research.
