Summary:
Develop and manage the business for INDUS in the Huntsville, AL region through the introduction of solutions to new customers and expanding our existing Navy business into the Army, Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and NASA market places.
Job Duties:
Build and own a business development plan that includes:
1) short-term success expanding INDUS' Navy work to new customers in the Huntsville market, 2) mid-term success from collaborating with industry partners for teaming opportunities in a prime or subcontractor role in new areas, and 3) long-term success through developing relationships that lead to high-revenue opportunities for INDUS.
The business plan will also look for diversification opportunities to expand outside of the U.
S.
Navy market in Huntsville and more broadly across additional Army, MDA and NASA market areas.
The successful candidate is expected to drive growth and build business when the pathway isn't always clear, through both independent work and by leading both internal and client-facing teams.
Lead and manage a small team who will be providing services to clients inside the Huntsville marketplace.
Mandatory Skill Requirements (must have):
Recent experience as a senior-level member of a defense contractor in Huntsville, AL.
Long-tenured experience (10
years) at MDA, Army or NASA is required.
Demonstrated leadership acumen having led high-performing teams of 20
individuals.
Must be a self-starter who has a strong work ethic in pursuit of new business opportunities with a track record (10
years) of business growth, including demonstrated ability to manage and grow diversified DoD business.
Must be an expert in capture planning, proposal development, and pricing strategy which will enable INDUS Technology, Inc.
to be in a more favorable win position.
Must have proven expertise in Acquisition, Information Technology, Program Management, Systems Engineering or Financial Management.
Must possess the ability to establish immediate credibility with customers and employees to build relationships.

Bachelor's DegreeMaster's Degree (MBA Preferred) Relevant DoD Certifications (PMP, Security+, etc.
).
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
