Summary:
We are seeking to fill two positions in Criminal Justice at the rank of Assistant Professor.
These are full-time, 9-month faculty appoints beginning on or before Fall semester 2021.
Tenure-status and salary is negotiable based on qualifications.
The area of specialization is open but the successful candidate will be expected to teach a broad range of classes from introductory freshmen courses to specialized upper-division offerings.
Experience developing and/or delivering online classes is a plus.
Applications will be reviewed as they come in and interviews with promising candidates will begin either online or at professional conferences.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Teach at least four (4) classes per semester.
Advise students.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Position Requirements (including years of experience, certifications, licenses, etc.
):
A terminal degree in Criminal Justice or Criminology.
Experience teaching at the college level, preferably at a four-year degree granting institution.
A record of professional presentations or publications or on-going research likely to result in such presentations/publication in the near future.
Experience advising students on academic and career choices.
